about Wise

Hi, we are Julie Garz and Ali Alhadeff.

Sexuality education at every age and life stage can improve a person’s lifelong health and quality of life.

Beginning in 2021, we partnered to provide equitable and accessible comprehensive sexuality education to all people no matter the age or stage of life. We strive to normalize education and conversations about sexuality and how sexuality and relationships impact each of us uniquely throughout our lives.

At WISE, we build authentic, supportive, and lasting partnerships with schools, communities, individuals, and families to elevate communication and deepen understanding about sexuality.

Sexuality Education NOT just Sex Education

WISE is committed to renegotiating the collective language and perception of all issues related to sex and sexuality. In our workshops and trainings, we de-emphasize the function of sex and aim to illuminate the enormous topic that is sexuality with age-appropriate content: relationships, consent, anatomy, sexuality throughout the lifespan, puberty, media literacy (yes- including pornography) and social messaging, communication, values, identity, and autonomy - it’s a big job, and we love doing it.

Wrap Around Support

We believe that the best way to approach this work is from every angle. To truly elevate sexuality education and understanding on an individual level, we must help the narrative shift more broadly.

In schools, we value age-appropriate, intersectional sexuality curricula beginning in the youngest grades and offer parent/guardian and faculty/staff education in tandem; with families and personal consulting, we work to create channels of communication between family and/or community members to support each individual’s unique needs and growth expectations; for existing sexuality education curricula and programs, we offer our expertise in sexuality education best-practices and curriculum evaluation.
